South Coast NLYM

The South Coast Chapter of the National League of Young Men, Inc. was founded in 2015 with the goal of providing young men with the opportunity to serve their community while gaining valuable leadership skills, protocol knowledge, and cultural experiences.

Our program is open to young men and their mothers who meet one of the following criteria:

  1. Residency: They live within our geographic boundaries, which include the cities of Long Beach, Lakewood, Seal Beach, Surfside, Sunset Beach, Rossmoor, Los Alamitos, Cypress, Garden Grove, or Signal Hill.
  2. School Enrollment: The young man attends a high school located within our geographic boundaries, even if the family resides outside of these boundaries.

Our boundaries are defined as the 710 Freeway to the West, the Pacific Ocean to the South, Bolsa Street to the 22 Freeway – to Knott Avenue to the East, and South Street – to the 605 Freeway to Lincoln Avenue to the North.

Some of the community organizations we have volunteered with include Good Shepherd Open Table, Los Alamitos Youth Center, Heart of the City, Together We Rise, Operation Christmas Child, Save Our Beach, Food Finders, LAEF Summer Enrichment Institute and many others.
